Malacañang Declared August 20 – Regular Holiday

In observance of the Feast of Ramadan, Eid’l Fitr of our Muslim brothers, President Benigno Aquino III declared it as a regular non-working holiday.

According to Malacañang – Presidential Spokeperson Edwin Lacierda, “The President signed the Proc. No. 455 declaring this Monday as a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid’l Fitr.”

In addition, it will be a long holiday weekends for the labor forces in the country because it was already declared that on August 21, Tuesday will be a special non-working holiday for the celebration of Ninoy Aquino day. Lastly, August 27 has been confirmed a regular holiday in celebration of the National Heroes Day. For details check the official announcement from their website Official Gazette website.
